
CARDIOVASCULAR: The 5th Exercise Test shall be completed over a 1KM (1000 metre) DISTANCE
It shall be completed on 1 piece of 'equipment' available on the day
The judges choice of equipment shall be final and will come from either;
TREADMILL: Completed on 'level 1' base setting. Flat Gradient NO DECLINE SETTINGS ALLLOWED
BIKE: Completed on 'level 1' base setting. Flat Gradient NO DECLINE SETTINGS ALLLOWED
ROWER: Completed on 'level 1' base setting.
COURSE: Completed over a measured distance either indoors or outside.
Upon Instruction from the judge, competitors will adopt the 'START POSITION'.
START POSITION:
Set up the machine and 'turn on' the systems where required.
Stand by in the 'Ready' Position with no distance covered.
The judge will start the timer and give you the command 'GO'
FINISH POSITION:
Completion of the 1KM distance.
The judge will stop the timer and give you the command 'STOP'
The judge will count your TIME at the FINISH.
The judges decision on what is a completed distance within the rules is final.
Once begun, competitors must complete the 1Km below the benchmark time to score points.
The benchmark time will be given at the beginning of the competition.
Each second below the benchmark time scores 1 Point.
Each second above the benchmark time scores 1 MINUS Point.
MINUS Points are deducted off your running total of points in the competition.
